No, it’s about 3 miles from the town of Crested Butte. There is a free shuttle available all year round. 

There are multiple driving routes into Crested Butte, some are only open in the summer. 

You can fly to Gunnison, Colorado (GUC) and rent a car or take the shuttle from the airport up to the hotel (40 min drive from the hotel). Additional flights into nearby Montrose airport (MTJ) are about a 1 and 45 mins drive from the hotel.

For transportation between the hotel and the town of Crested Butte, Mountain Express is a complimentary shuttle that runs from 7 am til midnight year-round.
